What is God Saying?

Every one who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort. 1 Cor 14:3 

In this section words and images will be posted that we believe God is speaking to us as a church either locally, nationally or globally.

We believe that God is always speaking and that often it is only a matter of inclining our ears to hear what it is He is speaking. It is when we hear what He's saying that we can better partner with the Spirit in prayer and action to see this community, nation and all the lost brought to salvation because of Jesus Christ!

One key purpose of prophesy is to open up the non believer to God. 1st Corinthians 14:24 says "But if an unbeliever comes in ..while every body is prophesying he will be convinced by all that he is a sinner and will be judged by all and the secrets of his heart will be laid bare. So he will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, "God is really among you!" That is an amazing reason to prophesy and to engage with what it is God is speaking prophetically through His people! 

Our hope is to have this quite an interactive forum for us all as we engage what it is God could be speaking to us, so please comment and provide your insights for others to benefit from. Remember, we are different parts of the one Body, and as such we all need the gifts that each other carry (1 Cor 12:12).

As with all prophesy, please test what ever is posted rather than shallowing it whole! Some useful filters to put prophesy through are to ask: does it line up with scripture?, does it line up with the charcater of God as revealed in scripture? Do I have a peace about it? Has the Holy Spirit confirmed it to me? What do I know of the charcter and integrity of the person posting the word or image? In some cases we will not know the person at all but this is not a reason to necessarily disregard the word, please allow the Spirit an opportunity to confirm the word before you throw it out!!
